We watched a video to help explain what it will be like.  Each person needs to register online to help set up the website. After you are approved Nate will let you know when you can go in and set your username and password setup. \nJerry talked about the Alpine Trail.  Working On permission to use the trail thru State Trust land.  We did get permission for 3 miles for the Alpine Trail. \nNate will do the May ride info to follow later.  Paul will do a ride on the 14th in Heber. \n50/50 was won by Chuck. \nBeth made a motion to close the meeting at 6.50 p.m.\, Polly 2nd the motion. \n  \nJudy Koski\, Secretary \n

SUMMARY:WMOTA April Ride - "DATE CHANGE"

SUMMARY:WMOTA June Ride
DESCRIPTION:This month’s WMOTA ride will be on Saturday 6/22/2024 leaving at 9:00am sharp. Please come early enough to unload\, brief and be ready to start on time. There will be donuts and Orange Juice\, but not coffee.  If you want coffee feel free to bring your own. The ride will be a modified version of the Slaughter Circle due to current Forest Service restrictions. This means we won’t be able to go to the Black River overlook as originally planned. The current forecast indicates that there is a good chance of rain on Saturday\, the ride will still take place. Make sure to bring your rain gear.  Remember\, it’s not uncommon for the temperature to drop during rain showers\, so layer your clothing.  Please make sure your machines are in good working order and bring lots of hydration and bring your lunch. For communications\, we are using FRS/GMRS channel 7 which is frequency 462.7125. \nDirections to the staging location: \nFrom the intersection of SR 260 and SR 273 (the turn off to Sunrise) go 14.3 miles.  Turn right on FR116 heading towards Reservation Lake (you will see a toilet facility on the right side).  FR409 goes left at this turn which is the second time you will see a FR409 going left off 273.  Follow FR116 for almost 1 mile just past the corrals.  WMOTA will be staging to the right as shown on this Google Map link: \nhttps://maps.app.goo.gl/YCjwSBaeq2LKnCC47

SUMMARY:WMOTA May Ride
DESCRIPTION:WMOTA May 18th club ride – lead by Chuck & Pam Wood and Nate & Beth Leonard. The ride will combine two events\, a fun club ride and recording of the AZAT A & B tracks between the Ski Hy parking area (Google Maps calls it Blue Ridge Mountain Trailhead) and Highway 260 (where the Fr 117 ends at Highway 260). Part of the trail development for the AZAT is the riding and recording of the actual trail segments. The ride will depart from the staging area at 9 am\, lunch will be at the Sheep Corral. Total ride distance will be approximately 78 miles. The ride will be easy with no challenging sections. The ride will take you through some of the most beautiful areas of the White Mountains. If time permits and anyone wants to ride to the top of Greens Peak\, that can happen. Remember\, machine full of fuel and in good running order\, snacks\, water\, and lunch. We will be using the “Rotation Meadow” for traffic control and operating radios on FRS channel 7 or 462.7125 frequency. \nAdditional Information: Take 260 in Pinetop to the light at Buck Springs Rd. then turn Left to Sky High Rd (FR182) for approximately 1 to 1 1/2 miles.
