DESCRIPTION:WMOTA MEETING MINUTES\n July 10\, 2025\nJack Dyer called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. \nBoard members present: Jack\, Karen\, Don (Judy absent). \nNew members and guests were welcomed. \nSecretary: Motion to accept minutes of the previous meeting was made: Karen Kramer made the motion to accept and Jane Dyer 2nd. \nTreasurer: End of May checking book balance was $3\,533.59. Membership dues for June were $230. 50/50 raffle was $65. Total income for June was $280. Total expenses were $1\,400.05. June checking account balance was $2\,413.54. Loan to Alpine Trail was $6\,000. June balance is $8\, 463.54. \nKaren discussed needing help with social duties for club activities. Polly Wood will help with this. \nJerry discussed Alpine trail updates. Riders are needed to ride portions of the trail and give feedback. Nate will provide a form for riders to complete this. Maverick Trail still needs some remarking and signage updates. Future dates for this will be communicated via email and the club website. \nJerry and Jack thanked those who helped with the clean up near the Lone Pine Dam dump. It was a big success! \nThe June club ride was discussed\, and suggestions were made. It was decided that club members will bring their own lunches and eat during a designated stop. Club members thought it was best to avoid relying on restaurants during rides. It was suggested that during rides club members make sure to keep the riders behind them in sight to avoid riders becoming too widespread and losing people. If the group is too large\, it is possible to split into two groups. \nLorna discussed ranger programs at Fool Hollow. More information will be provided via email. \nNext club ride will be on July 19. Jane Dyer will lead. Information on the ride will be provided via email and the club website. \nNew Business: Karen Smith discussed ordering club shirts and other merchandise. She has a new source for this. Sign-up sheets were provided\, and future orders can be emailed to Karen Smith. The club does not profit from the sales of merchandise. \nDon suggested a class on patching tires\, since there was a problem with tires on the last ride. If there is enough interest\, he will investigate putting together a class. \nThe AZ State Parks ATV Ambassador program was discussed. If members are interested\, they can let Don know. We may be able to get State Parks to do a class for our club if there is enough interest. \nThe meeting was adjourned at 6:50. Karen Kramer motioned and Jane Dyer 2nd. \nPolly Wood\, Acting Sectary

SUMMARY:WMOTA July Ride
DESCRIPTION:WMOTA’s July ride is scheduled for Saturday\, July 19th.  We plan to start the ride at 9:00 am sharp\, so please arrive in plenty of time to unload and brief. \nThe club will be doing one of the versions of Slaughter Circle.  It’s all around the Big Lake area at elevation and should be cooler.  Here’s three seven-day weather forecasts for the Big Lake area.  These are three 7-day forecasts and as you can see there is not complete agreement\, so bring your rain gear.  Also\, bring your lunch and plenty of hydration. \n\n      Saturday Jul 19 Weather Forecast: \n\n Day: Partly cloudy with showers. High near 70. South southeast wind to 5 mph\, gusts to 12 mph.
