WMOTA July Ride
WMOTA’s July ride is scheduled for Saturday, July 19th. We plan to start the ride at 9:00 am sharp, so please arrive in plenty of time to unload and brief.
The club will be doing one of the versions of Slaughter Circle. It’s all around the Big Lake area at elevation and should be cooler. Here’s three seven-day weather forecasts for the Big Lake area. These are three 7-day forecasts and as you can see there is not complete agreement, so bring your rain gear. Also, bring your lunch and plenty of hydration.
Saturday Jul 19 Weather Forecast:
- Day: Partly cloudy with showers. High near 70. South southeast wind to 5 mph, gusts to 12 mph. Chance of precipitation 20%.
2. 85 / 65 °F Isolated t-storms late. Cloudy with 14% chance of rain approx. 0.02″
3. Sunny Saturday, temperatures as high as 75°F, low temperature around 56°F, wind out of the SE 8 mph.
Here’s a google maps link to staging. Basically take 260 east and turn south on 273. Go to the end of 273 and continue on Three Forks Road. When you pass where Rt 24 intersects Three Forks from the south, on your right, (not the north intersection) staging will be just ahead on the left.
